Our Story

Gullak began as a simple idea: how might saving become a habit first, not a lesson later?

Financial literacy is not just about numbers—it’s about empowerment, confidence, and dignity. Our mission is to make these tools accessible to all.

From Workshops to a Movement

Our Origin

When Vihaan and Vyom Gupta began conducting sessions under the Tribes for Good Financial Literacy Programme, they worked with NGOs in Mumbai like Kautilya, Think Sharp, Raksha, and Kshamata to teach budgeting, saving, and long-term planning to women and children.

What started as weekend workshops soon became a deeper mission.

Our Growth

This vision became The Gullak Project. Through storytelling workshops and the simple act of distributing piggy banks (Gullaks), we set out to help children and families build lasting financial habits. In collaboration with NGOs across Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, our initiative grew.
